Meet Mrs. G
Mrs. G is our amazing 2nd grade para educator. She works with all of our fabulous 2nd graders every single day! We are so fortunate to have this extra help. This would not be possible without your support of our Creekside Comet Fund.
So a BIG thank you all that have donated to our Comet Fund.
Thank you for all you do for our Comets Mrs. G!

This week we are back to our "typical" schedule.
We are wrapping up our Realistic Fiction and will complete our final drafts this week. We are also wrapping up our Reading of Realistic Fiction.
Students were given an opportunity to chose a hero to research. Everyone has been given at least one book about their hero and we will eventually be filling out paperwork on our heroes. We will be giving speeches on our heroes next month. Once the final drafts are complete, I will send them home for them to study. We will also work on our presentation skills in class. They will dress up like their hero for the filming portion.
In Science Lab they are building bridges! If you happen to have any empty TP or paper towel rolls, Mrs. Loya would be so appreciative.
We will take our math module pre assessment tomorrow and begin module 6 on Tuesday. This module covers the following:
Formation of Equal Groups, Arrays and Equal Groups, Rectangular Arrays as a Foundation for Multiplication and Division, and The Meaning of Even and Odd Numbers.
Friday is Valentine's Day! We will be having a pancake breakfast and exchanging Valentine's. I also have a few fun projects that we will do.
Field trip forms and Scholastic Book Orders are all due on Friday.
Ella will be our star of the week!
